Angiline Rivera was born on Febuarary 13, 1956 to Gregorio Rivera and Angela Quiroz . She had 14 brothers and sisters. She was the 12th child and the 7th daughter. Angie known as chocheese to her siblings had 3 children of her own, Jesse Huerta, Ruben Alvarez and Isabel Raygoza. She was a grandmother of 7 even though she didn't have the pleasure of knowing them all. Angie grew up in the Pilsen niehborhood and went to school there as well. She loved dancing to the sounds of latin music and love singing to the oldies. She was my big sister who was stricken with breast cancer and fought very hard for 5 years before it took her life. It was through her memory that I too was able to become a survivor of breast cancer myself. She was very brave and strong. I will miss every day of my life and forever will she live in my heart. I love you manita all the days of my life.

You were my shadow for a few years, but it so quickly dis-appeared. I wish that I could take back the time that was stolen from me, to be able to hang together again. Those days are embedded in my mind and my heart, till we are joined again in Heaven as sisters' I will think of you always
